Going Home

Home for the Easter break.
"Fuck off tea"; our name for steak,
With an indulgent booze intake.
A hearty welcome for this old rake.

I missed at university:
Hot baths, coffee, milk in tea,
Nice cheeses, like a good brie,
A fine wine, or three.

But here there's sod-all to do,
Catch up with the old crew?
Go out for a pint or two?
They're working. They all grew.

Soon I'll hit the road again
Grab my hat and my pen
Phone chats every now and then
But I'll pop in anywhen.
